It could very well be the power supply.

Open up the case and check that all the fans are turning when you try to boot.
You should also be able to hear the hard drive spin up as it boots.
If this is a newer system there should be a green LED light on the motherboard
that lights up even when the system is off but still plugged in.

If any of the above listed items fail then could be the power supply.

The harddrive spins and the led lights come on. All the fans work fine.

It sure does sound like the motherboard then
Well then as Restek said
I would RMA it (exchange it) if it's only two months old then it will be covered.

Hello everyone. I have a similar problem to the one JROK mentioned. I have the same no signal to monitor and i have tried replacing the gfx card with no resolution. I also tiied disconectiong everything as suggested but with no change. The only difference is that my computer gives a long beep (2 seconds) and then five seconds later a second long beep. The built in led comes on. The problem started after I wiped the dust from the processor and video card fan.I was wearing an antistatic armband connected to the case. I hope you can help!

Ok i reseated the video card, no solution. gBut when i turned it on again i realised that there were a continous stream of beeps, not just 2. I have an asus mobo and i did some reaserch into beepcodes. Acording to http://www.bioscentral.com/beepcodes/awardbeep.htm i either have a memory problem or i have some unkown possibly cpu related problem. I reseated my memory aswell, no sollution. Any other suggestions?

ps the beeps are not fast or rapid fire they are several seconds long.

I would call the motherboard company and inform them of the problem and see if they can RMA for you.
