Whats the resolution and refresh rate set to on your PC? The link you posted says the max is 1024x768, 60 Hz. If you start in safe mode do the lines ect go away?

Current resolution: 800x600
Refresh rate: 75Hz

Hmm can't reboot in safe mode cause even during POST before windows loads, all I can see is lines going downwards.

Maybe the monitor is just at the end of it's life

I can think of a dozen things to do with a broke monitor.... and for some reason it always ends up destroyed.... :lol:

Hope that was just a monitor you were tinkering with and not your primary....

haha no it's not my primary monitor I have tried to plug it in my system to check whether it's working. I have not tried to open cause the high voltage a monitor uses is a bit risky you know and I don't know nothink about them :wink:
