XP drivers invalid for a usb2 card reader HELP!!

Postby efiste2 » Fri Oct 24, 2003 10:21 pm

i bought a 6 in 1 flash card reader and connected it via the USB 2 port on my PC a few months ago with no problems, and now I have rebooted my computer and every time i switch on the computer it finds this card reader as new usb hardware device and trys to install the drivers already in XP but cant, the error message says drivers are invalid, so every time i start up i have to go through this problem of faults (one for each of the four memory slots) A friend has had the same problem a while ago and said it was somthing wrong with the XP drivers, Anyone help me?????

What is the brand of the "6 in 1"? Have you tried removing from "Device Manager"? Have you uninstalled it's software from Control Panel / Add/Remove? Then Re-installed? What about updating the Drivers from the Manufacturer's site? brad
