emm... emmm... well first of all switch it off, open it and check that everything is in its place and cannot vibrate. Leave it open and switch on, if the noise remains, try to recognise from where it is coming. Hope everything goes well mate.

I have a PC fan I was going to sell on Ebay. It doesn't fit into my PC. It's an Intel processor fan...not sure if that's what you need. I was going to sell if for like 5 bucks.

the noise was made by the wires from the fan being too close to the blades of the fan...

when you replace it.. make sure you route the cables well away from any fans.. use cable ties to attache them to oither cables or to the eyelets on the power supply or something..

i found out it was my own fault. i opened the cpu fan to clean it of dust, the fan caught the little wires at the side , thats what made the noise :S now its really broke :S :( . Whats the highest a AMD xp can go in terms of temp again is it 70c ? or higher cuz mines running at 36c when idle with this older fan :( , Rob.

peahead,
A little program called is what you want.
It will tell you the CPU temperature, case temperature, fan speeds and voltages.
You can also set it to alarm/popup if your system exceeds a set limit of the above.

And I should mention that it is best to start your own thread for your question.
This way you will have a much better chance of getting a responce
plus others will have a better chance to search and learn from the thread as well.
