Every now and then, my "always dial my default connection" box becomes unticked and although its easy to tick it, it is annoying and should not happen.

Any ideas please?

As this is my first posting, can anyone tell me if attachments can be added to help diagnose problems.

First thing, I'd try setting it from the Control Panel / Internet Options / Connections Tab with all browser windows closed.
The other possible cause would be adware or spyware trying to get your system to use a dialer or another dial-up isp.
Try downloading, updating, and running: and .
You can only show pictures here if you can upload them to a web site and then post the URL link here.

Brad

I do my setting by going to IE/Tools/Internet optiond/connections.

I use Spybot everday as I do diskclean/scandisk/regseeker/then weekly defrag.

Must admit, it has righted itself so fingers crossed.

Could you run by again about posting step x step please.

Also, I have to drag taskbar to move side window on this site, is that normal

Also again, I have ticked"notify me when reply is posted" but did not receive one.

Hi Brad

Thanks for replies..

My IE seems to have settled now and "always dial my...." remains ticked.

The bottom slider I was referring to was on this site only, it may be the layout, I was just curious.

At present, I have moved it so I have the message area in the middle.

The only reason i can see that you would have a "slider" at the bottom of this or any site is your video resolution is set low.Right click a blank area on your desktop and go to properties, then settings.Check your resolution setting.
