Issue with PNY Attache and Windows XP

Postby Wildthing61476 » Sat Jan 22, 2005 5:19 pm

I purchased an Attache 64 MB Flash drive last night, and installed in on my PC runnidn Windows XP. Windows installed the drive automatically, however I can not access this drive.. When I go into Diisk management, it shows up as Unknown, and if I try to initialize it I get a Unspecified error on the LDM. Windows Explorer and My Computer does not show it as a drive. Any idea what to do to get Windows to see it as a drive?

Already been there and did what it said in the FAQ. My system does not have a USB Controller option in the BIOS as well. In Disk Management, again the Attache is shown as Disk 1 and Unknown, and I can't assign a drive letter to it.

Do you have version 2.0 USB ports installed on you motherboard?
Is there a BIOS update for you motherboard that deals with USB ports?

USB 1.1, and I'll have to check about the BIOS update
