Printer Jibberish

Postby ColaBoy » Sun Jan 23, 2005 10:24 pm

This is something I see happen on a couple of other peoples printers as well as mine. I go to print something and suddenly the printer goes nuts and starts printing out pages of symbols and chararcters and won't stop. After a while it does stop and I usually have to restart my PC and press 'PRINT' again. Why does this happen and how can I stop it?

Sounds like corrupt printer drivers. Uninstall the printer and reinstall it. Say yes if it asks you to overwrite any files.

I've had that problem with practically every printer i've used. Strange, isn't it?

Actually I've read it happens if a printing job gets interrupted in some way and you try and printer again. Im told you should remove all the paper until the printer informs you have none left, delete everying thing in the printing queue and start again. Seems to work.
