Dual processor or single?

I am building a new pc and I would like to get everyone's opinion on whether or not I should get a dual processor motherboard or a single one. I am an avid gamer so I want something fast but I am thinking dual is overboard.... If I went single it would be the new P4 HT extreme edition and a motherboard with the 925XE chipset. Any suggestions?

i dont no wot proccessor motherboard i got dual or single how i find out?
Specs Windows XP Pro SP2,AMD Sempron XP 2800+, 1.5GB of RAM, NVIDIA 6200

A dual setup would be extremely stable but not really necessary if you plan on building a P4 HT system.Dual CPU is more common in a server than a PC.

Peahead, your running a single CPU (processor).
