What type of motherboard is it? Does it have the VIA chip set in it? you might have forgotton to install the 4 in 1 drivers.

what operating system?--I know windows 95 is incompatible with wireless.

Normally a freeze in that situation means that two cards are fighting over resources. Pull all the cards except the video. skip one slot and put in the wireless and see if it boots up and reconizes the card.

something to try, remove the card and boot back up.Uninstall the software then shut down and put the card back in. Boot again and let windows detect it, when prompted for drivers, click cancel. you should get a error that hardware couldnt be installed, after that you can run the installation disk again.

Not a promise, just a thought.

I have that same card. however i didn't have any problems. I wouldn't recomend a USB adapter to be honest, a mate of mine got a BT one and he said it'stoo unreliable. The signal strength varies too much and sometimes he can't even get signal. Maybe you should get a refund and try a different manufacturer?
