Something worth reading

Postby badpolarbear » Mon Mar 21, 2005 10:41 pm

I have been on a disability pension for the past 10 years, living on a budget of $800.00 dollars a month. A while back my dentist told me I needed all my teeth pulled. My doctor said you cant do that, he has TMJ and it will frig up his jaw, he will need new teeth right away. Government didnt want to cover them. I kept after them. Told em I would like to get back in the job force. I needed some teeth. Friday the same day I ordered my new pc the disability worker came to assess me. He figured I would be good for a job in a store stocking shelves or washing dishes. He sat down at my pc with me. Got up and made a phone call. To a training center. I been talking to the training center today. I go for a tour wednesday and pick up my books.

The long and the short of it all. I have been entered in a course, 26 weeks long, dealing with MSCE, DHCP and networking and such. The government is going to foot the bill. The first order will be A+ then MSCE.

liljim: you got me into this, you better be ready to help me with my home work.

And in the end, Im gonna get my teeth too!!! Yippppeeee

Polarbear,

Im very proud of you but not nearly as proud as you should be of yourself. Its not often that opportunities, such as yours, present themselves so you make damn sure you take advantage of it. You have the ability to give yourself a better life and you better believe i'll help you in any way i can. Our very first conversation started on this site and was dealing with extreme basics of HTML, since then our conversations have become much more technical. Now you ask me questions that i have to either seriously think about or actually go look up. If your not doing that, your teaching me things i didnt know! I remember you wanting to give up on PC's quite some time ago, particularly during some of our HTML sessions..lol. Now my friend, you see that it was worth it

As always Daniel, i'll do what i can to help you but i can see that it wont be long before its you helping me.

Speaking of networking. I just spent 24 hours straight setting up my first network. I would like to thank liljim for his help. I had the system up and running, there was just a couple minor details that needed ironing out. Its up and running fine now.
