Video Wigs out!!!

Postby IrockComputers » Fri Mar 25, 2005 4:09 pm

Got me a new computer and when i am in the middle of somethin the video will just go to green white and pink dots. Nothing is OC'ed and it happens randomly.

Mobo Soyo Dragon Kt400
Vid: Geforce4 ti 4200GS

Things i have tried:
-New Drivers
-More Cooling ( nothing got hot but was worth a try) this involved a wind machine fan
-reseating vid card
-disassembling reassembling entire computer
-Format and reload of windows

Also BIOS reports 1.5 V for the AGP voltage and the mobo monititor i have reports 1.75 could this be something i should be conserned about.

Do you guys think a new vid card would solve the problem?

There is a burn in test program that checks out your system, video, memory, hard drive etc. Its a real good program, we use to run it on all of the new builds before they were sent out.

Go to this web site and download the 30 day eval copy and run it

There is a possibility that the video memory could be bad or going bad. This program should be a pretty good test for your card.
