If you do any tech support over the phone and have to walk someone through doing something in a dos prompt window, :| this is the cats meow :) !

There are a lot of times that you want to go to a certain directory using DOS in XP If you start out at the root directory, or a directory that is the root to the one you want, type in

cd and a space

ie c:\cd

Then hit the tab key until you get the directory you want, then hit enter. repeat if you want to go in another level. Its great if your a lousy typer or can't remember the exact spelling for the directory your looking for

cd space and tab  translation: knit one pearl two
