I generally have used GeForce Cards, i do quite a bit of gaming. I havent used enough ATI products to fairly judge them but in comparisom to price vs benchmark capabilities, Nvidia has been a better deal.

I have for a long while used GeForce cards, however, now days i'm using ati cards..i'm currently running a Radeon 9800pro and i'm quite happy with my results in gameplay. Look comparing these two companies is just like comparing a car with a different badge, really most of the cards now days are practicly the same. If you had to make a choice- Geforce I think have the best results so far in there new GeForce 6 series, while ATI cards just fall under in performance but are also a little bit cheaper..my 9800pro would be the equilvilent of something like a new x800 from ATI or a new GeForce 6800, however, these new cards would be slightly better, but it's just putting it into perspective, really it all comes down to what brand you wanna run with, i'm quite happy with my ATI card now, and i've been using GeForce cards before then and where quite happy with those as well...just make a choice that will fit your budget, and try to look out for a couple of things on both brand name of cards such as - memory, try 256mb, pipelines, AGP or PCIe...whatever your choice is you'll probably be happy with it in the short and long term

I belive the GeForce 6600GT is a great card for the money, approx. the same price as a 9800pro and it beats it hands down.
