Deus Ex and XP

Postby ColaBoy » Sat Apr 09, 2005 10:14 pm

Is anyone running Deus Ex under XP? My system always freezes up and restarts when the intro starts to run.

hmm maybe something to do with codecs you got on ur pc they make certain movie files play. What codecs have you got for media player? try finding the movie itself in the game DIR then drag it on media player see if it runs. If it dont they u will know its the codecs u need to get :)

Ah,problem. There are no movie files so I guess its coded into the game itself. Never mind

Thanks but what Im doing now is skipping the intro and just going straight into the game. Thats the next test. Previously when playing it my PC would freeze up at certain spots. I've installed an exhaust fan as overheating was causing problems with other polygon intensive games which, so far, are operating with no problems at all. Fingers crossed! :s

Nope no good. Ireached a point in the game which caused problems before had it crashed again. Guess I'll try playing it again after my next pc upgrade. :s
