DVD-RW a few questions.

All computer hardware support

DVD-RW a few questions.

Postby Han » Sun Apr 10, 2005 2:50 pm

I've decided to buy an internal DVD-RW. But I have one question.

Does it matter what type the files you burn to DVD are, will they still run on a 'modern' DVD player.

The majority of my videos are avi and mpeg. Wiill these definitly work on a DVD player. Or will I have to spend hours converting them....

You might want to consider a DVD±RW drive

DVD-RW format was designed especially to support recording of streaming media.
DVD+RW was designed for real-time video recording and random data recording, and allows random access and editing of video

Yea you can play that types of files,

What Gecko was on about was you can burn any of the 2 most common formats of DVD r, + & -

Try and buy a "dual layer multi fromat DVD/RW"

Hope this helps
