I was right it is getting renamed, one last time I hope

Reboot your computer in Safe Mode
Once in Safe Mode, double-click on Nailfix.cmd
Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear,
and a window should open and close very quickly this is normal.

Then run HijackThis, click Scan, and check:

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe
O23 - Service: System Startup Service (SvcProc) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe

You will also need to locate and check:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [some random name] c:\windows\system32\some random name.exe
The last one was:(O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [rybkauq] c:\windows\system32\uqucpc.exe)
It should be the only O4 – HKLM,… c:\windows\system32\ reference in the log
Write down the name of the file c:\windows\system32\some random name.exe

Close all open windows except for HijackThis and click Fix Checked.

Next use KillBox to delete the above mentioned file name, use the End Windows Shell option,
also delete C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe
If that won’t delete it try killbox delete on reboot option

Empty your Recycle Bin, reboot and post a new HiJackThis log.

 Gecko. I think you did it buddy. I have been surfing the net for a few hours now and all seems well. Everything has settled down again and feels stable.. :

Thank you for your persistance in getting this damn thing off my computer. You did a great job.

I now know how Sigourney weaver felt when she pressed that Air lock button...

Thanks again...Mark.

I glad to hear that it is at last gone
This was one of the worst ones I've seen,
at least now I have a handle on how to beat this thing.
