I don't have a laptop to give you exactly the right directions but it should be close

Using the mouse on the monitor you can view, rt click on a blank area of the desktop and select properties. Then go to settings tab. Drop down to the bottom and select "advanced." Then select the tab labled "monitor" (I could be wrong here) You should see two screens that you can select from. One should be your laptop and the second should be your monitor. I think just clicking on the screen you want should switch it.

I know most laptops usually will have a function key that will select between the two and you can ususally select to use both at the same time as well.

Look along the F-keys for a symbol that looks like two monitors (you may have to use your imagination) or sometimes it's even labeled CRT/LCD (or some thing similar)

Once you find that, all you have to do is hold down the funtion key and hit that button. you may have to cycle through 3-4 times before you see all the options....

Good luck to ya

I think that HP bought compaq presario out. So you should be able to jump into their web site HP.com and get more info there.
