computer rebooting

Postby bigwes » Mon Jun 27, 2005 2:22 am

I have a friend who has a comuter, and all she does is check her email and burn dvd's and that is pretty much it and when she is burning movies sometimes not all the time, the computer will reboot. just shut down and reboot with no warning or error, or anything. i know its running xp pro and its an amd 1.3 i think im not sure about anything else.

any help will be appreciated.

Do you have this pc on a surge protector or some sort of UPS?

Perhaps you are getting an unclean electrical signal. See if you can borrow or purchase a powerstrip with a surge protector and see if that works.
