Here are some specs:

Radeon 9800 Pro 256: 380 Chip Clock 700 Memory Clock 256-bit Bus Width 8x1 Pipe
Radeon 9800 Pro: 380 Chip Clock 680 Memory Clock 256-bit Bus Width 8x1 Pipe

Now is there much difference?

Radeon 9800 Pro 256 got a 3DMark score of 5980
Radeon 9800 Pro got a 3DMark score of 5966

Not much difference at all. Every game score I see, they were always neck and neck. The big difference is price. :)

so what does the MB really means? is it like ram where 256mb is better than 128mb? shouldn't the 256 make a lot more difference compare to the 128, since it has twice the "MB"?

Yes, having twice the RAM should make it better, but in this case it doesn't. It says alot about ATI engineering.
