pioneer writer 104 problems

im having problems with my dvd writer

last night it started working strangely

Im using stomp record max now and media datawrite classic gen 2x dvd-r which runs at 1x on my writer.

When i start burning it says time left 63mins so i left it for over 1hour and came back and it was still burning saying it had like another hour left.

I tried again today, left it for an hour came back and it said it had 160minutes left

I trying once again now on different media, and the time fluctuates up and down on the time left, it did this before but wondering if its important. Also noticed that the drive light flicks slightly every ten seconds or so.

Any ideas whats going on?

im already on the most recent firmare of 1.41

In researching your problem I've read several articles about the same thing. Most "fixes" require a bios "wiping" to take out the settings for the 1.3 version. I'm not sure if this is your problem. Most sites direct you to , which is different than the first one I gave you.
Most all are using other media to burn.
