Just a quick question here.... Why had you unplugged your computer to begin with? Was it running when it was unplugged? Was the computer working ok prior to unpugging?

Not trying to be a pain, but trying to dig up some details that may help us figure out the problem....

Good on ya

Since you've said that the outlet was working properly, I guess I would suspect the Power Supply first. The other possibility is that the system took a hit from the storm just as you were unplugging it.

Is there a switch on the Power Supply that is turned off.... that got me better half once...

I think that I would unplug all the perifials devices Including keyboard and mouse and see if it will power up.

Do you work through a surge protector of any sort?? that might be another thing to check.

Just some stuff to try..

Good on ya

computers are pretty delicate. As you have notice already, if not. could it be that you were in a rush to unplug it and you accidentally, bump your computer?cuasing it to loosing up some things inside?
Could be also that you might have fried something, maybe your motherboard from the storm. It might off shocked your house electricity and jumped the amp or something.

does your other computer work, from the same outlet?
