BIOS screen message too fast to read

Postby ronz28 » Sun Jul 03, 2005 7:40 am

Hi,

After my primary hard drive died and I reconfigured my IDE channels, I now receive a message after the IDE detection portion of the BIOS screen. From what I've been able to see, it's something about one of the channels and the number 80 (connector?). I can't figure out how to pause it at the right time or figure out what it's trying to tell me any other way because it's lightning fast. I have a hard drive on the secondary and a DVD/RW drive on the primary now. It seemed the only way both drives would be detected even after trying all combinations of jumpers and channels. How can I figure out what it's reporting?

right when it says the screen press the Pause/break button and it will freeze the screen, to get it to continue just press escape, that should work.

Worked like a charm, thank you. The message says there's no 80 pin connector on the secondary IDE. I've never had that message before. My secondary channel works, I have a DVD/RW on it and there's no problem. Do you know what that message means?
