Netgear WG311v2 Not Connecting

Postby fishoutofwater579 » Thu Jul 07, 2005 4:24 pm

Ok I purchased two of these network cards and only one got to work and that was on pure luck while getting the run around from the technical support. Those people are idiots, all they did was ask me what my settings were at many times and then finally it popped on. But this second NIC will not connect for some reason. The tech said it was not connecting because the card was not binding to TCP/IP.

They had me intall IPX/SPX which did nothing. The card will see the network but not connect to it. I am currently looking up how to bind the NIC to TCP/IP but any help in the meantime would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Here I will try to specify a little better. The computer will try to connect to the network but will not obtain an IP address. When I ipconfig it, it only says media disconnected.

Nevermind about this I think I am going to send it back. I am tired Netgear's crap. Instead I am going to try to take my extra wireless router and use it instead of a NIC. Maybe someone can give me some tips on that.
