what sound card u use? There should be a setting where you test each speaker to see if sound comes out . Does yours have that at all? or you done this already?

Dont know if you have tried this yet or not but if you open Control Panel and click on Sounds and Audio Devices then in the Speaker Settings section at the bottom of the window, click on the Avanced Button. Now in the drop down box find/select the type of surround setup you have. Now try your speakers again and see if they work right.

That thing where u can test each speaker that robbro asked about, is the thing in the pic. and it does what it says in the pic when i test each speaker. The sound card is a Realtek AC'97.

I tried the options thing in Sounds from the control pannel. and it was already on 5.1.

Anyone else got any ideas?

Recheck all your connections and make sure that the plugs are all the way in and that they are plugged into the right spots.
