ftp and router problems

Postby tnwildcat » Tue Jul 19, 2005 2:35 pm

I am trying to set up bulletproof ftp server on my computer for over a week. When I first set it up, it would connect and actually let someone in, but not on a consistant basis. I was trying to get it working this morning when I came across this site, and the ftp/linksis tips and tricks post. I tried that and still nothing. When I try to test it myself it says Windows cannot access this folder. Make sure you typed the file name correctly and that you have permission to access this folder. Then under details it says a connection with the server could not be established. Its in my shared folder if that helps. I did what the tips and tricks post said too about the ports. I just don't get why it's still not working. I really hope someone knows whats wrong......my computers :smash: life depends on it.

As for the router’s firewall the port forwarding takes care of that problem.
Do you have a dynamic or static IP from your ISP?
