It sounds like your system is to old to reconize the drive. You can get a PCI IDE controller that would fix that problem. Just go down to the local computer store and tell them what you are doing. If the hard drive has a boot sector virus, you can use fdisk to delete the partition and start over. Also use this command ( fdisk /mbr ) That should take care of the virus.

i found out why it wouldnt let me hook the harddrive i hade to put the thing on limit harddrive and used ddo or something like that and got it to work :D thanks for the advice :wink:
