Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Postby mikepatton32 » Fri Sep 02, 2005 10:05 pm

Hello

I need someone to shed some light on a problem for me. Friend of mine had a PC built, very high speck etc. The version of windows they put on for him seems corrupt so he bought a genuine copy and im gonna install it for him. This is where the problem starts:-
When i boot from cd to do a clean install of windows ( normal way ) it gets to the bit where u can delete partition etc, its not picking up either of the 2 hard drives!!!??? even though theres an operating system on the master! They are scsi
On the computer is says theres drive c ( windows on it ) drive e and drive d ( windows swap do not use? ) i know someone will know out there how to get it to install/recognise. Is it something to do with serial ata???????????????

Thanks

You must have a lot of friends. You are starting to make me jealous. Although maybe I shouldn't be because all your friends seem to have major PC issues and go running to you. :)

If press F6 to install RAID/SCSI drivers and install the device drivers for the SCSI card before you install it shall work.

Let me know.
