Upgrading

Postby Tank » Wed Sep 07, 2005 1:17 am

Hey everyone. Some of you may remember last year I built a rank system and had troubles with it but got it afterwards haha. Well, I am UPGRADING now!!

I am upgrading my Case, PSU, and cooling

WHAT I HAVE NOW:
I-Cute case, Mid tower, four 5.25'' bays, two 3.5'' bays
Thermaltake PurePower 420 Watt Dual Fan Dual Ball Bearing Ultra quiet PSU
Coolermaster Jet 7+

WHAT I AM UPGRADING TO:
Thermaltake Armor case, full tower with ELEVEN 5.25'' bays.
Thermaltake 500 Watt MODULAR PSU with total watts viewer
Thermaltake BigWater SE water cooling kit

For some of you who do not know I will briefly explain. The Thermaltake Armor has got to be the best full tower on the market. It has tons of room, its a full tower server case, and has awesome looks to boot. Now Thermaltake makes 2 versions, 1 black and 1silver. Now most people would say whoop-tee-do they are the same, its all just paint...wrong. The Black one is actually made of STEEL and is a very heavy case, weighs alot! The Silver one is aluminum, and is more money, but it is ALOT lighter. I went for the Aluminum one, its nice and light for how huge the case is.

The Thermaltake 500 Watt Modular PSU is the first Modular PSU Thermaltake has come up with and has TWO 12 Volt rails and even comes with the 2 cables to run 2 Video cards on SLI. They have a thing called the "Total Watts Viewer" it is a small LCD and is in a panel that fits in a 5.25'' bay, and it has 2 knobs, 1 on each side of the LCD in the middle. One knob controls the Fan inside the PSU, and another knob controls the fan that comes with it, Thermaltake gives you a free 120MM case fan with the PSU too. And the LCD shows how many watts your PC is using at the moment! so if you use 235 watts at start up, the LCD reads in nice big letters, 235.

The BigWater SE Cooling Kit is new on the market and is a complete Water Cooling kit from Thermaltake. The nice thing about this kit, is it was designed SPECIFICALLY, to work with the Thermaltake Armor case, they are designed to work together and fit very well, places to hide wires and screw holes to mount the pump and rad, neatly inside the case. They designed the kit, to work specifically with that case, but it does work with others as well.

BIGWATER SE contents include:

Pump with LED
Resevoir that fits in a 525'' bay
UV Reactive Coolant
UV Reactive Tubing
Radiator with 120MM silent Thermaltake fan
ALL COPPER waterblock with LED
Supports all sockets

This kit is very nice and the good thing, is it is complete, you take it out of the box and its completely ready to install.

Well everyone this is my upgrade! i ordered everything and i have it all here ready to go, just need the time and courage haha, all Thermaltake now!!

.....i wonder if its obvious that I love Thermaltake Equipment??

You must be single.

If your married, your wife is probably out buying a hand gun.

Believe it or not, they sell a cigarrett lighter and drink holder that fit in the 51/4 bay

11 5-1/4 bays will hold an awful lot ot toys!

enjoy
