Thanks for the suggestions Icecube,

I did install the motherboard drivers… Before I formatted I got the latest nForce drivers for AMD and made sure they were installed before anything else…

I cleared the CMOS, but that didn’t seem to fix this problem. When I go in the BIOS it seems to recognize my CPU just fine, although it doesn’t recognize the low latencies of my Crucial RAM. It seems to think the timings are 2.5-3-3 rather than 2-2-2…

I am not using RAID, just two SATA hard drives on the First and Second SATA Master channels. I have two optical drives on the Secondary IDE channel…

If anybody has another suggestion please feel free to share!

Thanks again,
-Amex

Well, I guess it was bad RAM...

I finally got my hands on another stick of DDR RAM... Haven't had the problem since... Pretty disturbing since I spent near $300 Canadian on brand new Crucial Ballistix RAM... Guess I'll have to send it back with RMA. Hopefully that will work out. The funny thing is I ran Memtest86+ and it didn't find any errors...

Thanks for the help,
-Amex :)

I'm glad you were able to solve the problem --even without our help.

Onboard memory is a very sneaky item to deal with. Its not cut and dry as to what the problem is sometimes.

I've seen a stick of memory not work in one motherboard, and work fine in another--go figure

Thanks for input on the resolution of the problem.
