WinTV, DVR's, AVI to MPEG info needed

Postby Quantum » Mon Oct 17, 2005 8:34 pm

I did not know exactly what forum to add this to.

First, of all does anyone know what is the best AVI to MPEG Decoder for a small price. I can't find any free ones.

Second, I have a direct television DVR and was wondering if anyone has had any luck with the USB port yet.

And Third, I have just been introduced to WinTV and was wonding what the best internal graphics card or external system would be. I have seen the USB nova WinTV system and was wondering what people thought of it.

I am looking to burn DVD from my cannon camera and DVR. Any help will be appreciated.

I want to say thanks for the help before hand.

Thats the program i use to convert avi n back. But i woudlnt use that site, i dont think thats the offical one.

The program is really good, but if u do buy it make sure u find the offical site because alot of those sits rip u off.

This Program works very well. I burned the avi files I converted to mpeg2 and even 320X240 video came out great. I contered about 50 files in under 20 minutes.

Converting some 160 X120 avi files were a little blurry but not as bad as I expected.

I am buying a TV to Computer adapter from a friend so I will be all set.

Thanks a lot for the info.
