Processor Price Watch

Postby RWD3 » Thu Oct 27, 2005 5:03 pm

I just got a cool idea (at least to me) of making a new topic to monitor the prices of processors as time goes on and new ones come out. anyway you can tell im really bored, since not every site has the same pricing im just going to stick with newegg.com. I plan on updating this at least once a month. The reason for doing this is because in the 2 month period that i have been searching to buy a pc ive noticed significant drops in pricing. Anyway here it goes.

Im only going to do some processors mainly ones compatible with 478, and 939(now including socket A).(If you want me to put up any other ones just ask).
Prices as of 10-27-05. (oh and my B-Days in 2 days. :) )

Happy birthday

If you want something else to watch, look for a Socket A Athlon XP 3000 or 3200 processor. Im needing one for one of my machines.

Hey liljim

Next week I should have an AMD Sempro 2800 available.
I will be doing a MB and CPU upgrade for a customer, I’m going to give him
$40.00 trade in on his old Gigabyte MB and the Sempro CPU.
I will still make a profit on the upgrade not counting the resale of the trade in.
So I will have nothing invested in the MB and CPU
I know it’s not an Athlon 3000 but if you are interested I’m sure we can work something out.

Thanks RWD3 for looking that up

Gecko, im definatly interested. When you have it avaliable, just PM me. I was looking for the 3000 or so chip because of the 400 MHz FSB but even a sempron would beat the 1 gig 266 fsb duron chip in the wife's machine.

Im assuming you will have the socket A 333 version sempron 2800?
I only ask because there is a socket 754 version.
