Excel 97 Uninstall

I have a quick question, I've had Microsoft Excel '97 on my computer since I got it. I don't use it, and when I try to uninstall it via Add/Remove programs, it wants me to put in a disc. I never had the disk for this program. How do I manually uninstall it?

I can’t find anything at Microsoft about this, all they say is you need the CD.

What you need is the setup.exe file on a cd labeled correctly for the Office 97 CD
Let me look through my CDs tomorrow at work I’m sure I have it somewhere.

That would be cool, I have no microsoft office cd's at all. You'd think that there would be a way to uninstall it manually instead of having it stuck on your computer

I am still not able to uninstall Excel.

Is there an ISO file or something I can use to mount on a virtual drive so that it thinks the CD is in there?

As far space i doubt that it even takes a half a meg, I don't think that its realy worth the bother to try to remove.

You could install a newer version of Office and that would probably give you the remove option for the older version.
