I'm sure that you are right about the registry and McAfee
But it is hard to find all the keys because they are not all named McAfee.
You could use to clean up the registry.
Does McAfee make a log file of what was installed?
I would look to see if there is one it might tell you what was installed.

P.S. check your PM

Venny

Go to this site and download Reghance (killer program)

I think its still free--it has some time delay screens--and they are easy to live with.

Run the program Go to Edit and select Search and on your search type in Mcafee

It will pull up a bunch and delete them all.

I use Reghance when a virus kills the antivirus boot program. Usually at that point you are at a catch 22, you can't reinstall the program, because its already installed, but it ain't working worth a damn.

Hope this helps

Good luck

Hey guys, just for a little update on the situation, what’s happening is that when its installing the privacy service always stalls, says some error, but that’s not a problem because I can now at least install the other 3 bits for the program and that’s perfect for me, so thank you.
