Removing "hidden" files?

Postby msiler » Sat Jun 17, 2006 2:30 pm

I have a pretty clean installation of Windows XP Pro but would like to know if anyone has info that would show me how to remove things like the MSN file and it's contents for their internet browser/portal connection or the MSN Gaming Zone file and contents and other such annoying folders...

Also, in my attempt to regain HDD space and clean up and speed up my system I was wondering how I find and remove any other useless, pointless space and Resource hogs that I cannot see in the Start menu or Program Files?

Looking forward to all your tips and tweaks!

Here is a starter link for you

I don't recommend removing the Microsoft deadwood, only because when you do updates, they tend to want to tweak the items that you removed, and can cause some agravation, especially MSN messenger.
