Case Choice

Postby TheShifter » Wed Jun 14, 2006 7:26 pm

First of all hello, i am new to these forums :)

second, i am hoping to get a new PC some time in the near future and have started thinking about cases. because of the way i am planning to get the PC i am limited to certian cases. The three that i am looking at are as follows.

Asus Vento 3600 Image

NZXT X-NEMESIS ELITE
Image

COOLERMASTER PRAETORIAN 730
Image

I want the coolest of the three as i cant find any site that seems to have reviews on all i cant find a fair comparison. i know that at least two of them are very heavey but weight isnt too much of an issue. i am mostly looking at how well the cooling is and maybe some personal issues/comments?

I hope you can help me because i just cant decided at all. Also, i know that the cases are loved by some and hated by others (vento 3600 spring t mind) so dont worry about the looks i can decided that for myself ;)

thanks

tom

Welcome to the Forum :)

I personally like the look of the 3rd one. Dont like the other 2 that much. Number 2 is much nicer than number 1 - in my oppinion.

I dont know anything about cooling, but looks wise, number 3 :)

When I was getting together a spec for my new pc, I was looking at a case a lot like the 3rd one. And my other PC is in a coolermaster case.
Looking at the official websites, the 1st one is very cleverly built to be "user friendly", if u get me. It looks cool too. It's also got good cooling and plenty of room.
The 2nd one on the list seems to have nothing but looks. But those looks fail to impress me and Venney. The fan on the side looks cool, but thats all. Cooling isn't a good feature, it barely mentions it.
The 3rd case doesn't have the "looks" of the other 2, but its got some other tricks up it's sleeve. That being its made out of aluminuim. It's meant to conduct heat better, keeping the stuff inside cooler, and it's also light. Plenty of room in there too. Also its got a motherboard tray, so you can put it on either side.

They're all about the same price. So, it's up to you. If you want "hey look at me" cool, then get the Asus. If you want "someone get me a coat" cool, go with the coolermaster.
All the best to you and your new pc :)

P.S.
Just had to change my kaks. I use mozzila and was closing some tabs in the same window but accidently double clicked and closed this window. But the back button came to the rescue and restored my good work.
Wish it could restore my boxers to their previous state :(
