You have a number of infections, virus, trojans and spyware so I would like you to use some automated tools first.

To start with I would like you to delete your temporary files
Go to My Computer->Tools/View->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that 'Show hidden files and folders' is enabled. Also make sure that Display the contents of System Folders' is checked. Remember to reset these when done.
Now delete all files and folders that are in the below folders.
C:\WINDOWS\Temp\
C:\Temp\
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp\
C:\Documents and Settings\ b]username[/b]\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5

Do a virus scan[/color].
If you get a report of files that can't be cleaned / deleted please write down the filenames and locations and post that in your reply.

Next download Unzip, and update. Install the updates and run. Delete all that it marks in red.
Reboot

Then it's time for
Install and update by using the globe icon and then run Ad-Aware.
Press scan now and select drives and/or partitions to be scanned.
When done select all and click next. Remove all checked items and then reboot your computer.

That should only leave one or two infections, we can clean them up when you post a new HJT log as a reply to this topic.

Please copy this to Notepad and print it. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes.
You should not have any open windows when you are following the procedures below.

Restart Windows in safe mode:
After you see the BIOS screen and before Windows starts to load.
Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears.
Use the Arrow key to ensure that the Safe Mode option is selected.
Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.

Turn off system restore by right clicking on My Computer and go to Properties->System Restore and check the box for Turn off System Restore. Click Apply and then OK. (Turn it back on after this is repaired and you've rebooted.)
Close all other open Windows and have HiJackThis Fix:

When I try to boot the computer in safe mode, it tries to load a driver called "agp400.sys" but gets stuck and doesn't finish loading. Should I just do the fixes in normal mode?

It really needs to be done in safe mode if at all possible.

Please run a chkdsk to see if you can get into safe mode
Start > Run > and paste the below into the text field:
chkdsk /r now press enter
A dos like box will appear and will say something about disk locking
Type
y and press enter
Now reboot your system and chkdsk will run it will take a long time to finish.
With any luck you should be able to boot into safe mode now

Your other option would be to end task on all the .exe files that you need to delete:
command.exe
netmon.exe
winupdates.exe
winlog.exe
dfndr.exe
kybrd.exe
pmdsrego.exe
optimize.exe
SYSC00.exe
mwinnqez.exe
mptft.exe
ssn6tuu.exe
ssec.exe
tfthot.exe
nr1rnqm8.exe
chkntfs.exe
qkoqm.exe
qkoqa.exe
wdialer.exe
hxzriba.exe
whsurvey.exe

You will need to do this before you use hijackthis to fix what was listed above.
I know that some of these will not end because they are registered as system files.
You can try using Hijackthis delete file on reboot as described above but using the
standard file kill box and the End Explorer check box options.

The computer ended up going crazy, the start bar and icons wouldn't show up at all and it wouldn't boot in safe mode, so i just ended up restoring the computer with the recovery discs that came with it. So the hard drive was wiped clean, which sucks, but oh well. I think however that i ended up with some leftover stuff:
