HDD prob

Postby bsxiong » Tue Aug 15, 2006 2:48 am

ok, here is the deal,

I have two Western 80gb. Both have same amount of Partions.

Hdd1 and Hdd 2 each have 5 partioned drive with the same amount of spaces ( for back up purposes ). The prob is that i deleted all the partitions in Hdd2 and Hdd1, but now it's showing up as having 5 unpartioned spaces. How do i combined the unpartioned spaces?

Is there a way that i can wipe the whole hard drive clean and have it just one unpartioned space?

thanks

From within windows xp,
Start > Control panel > Administrative tools > Computer management > Storage > Disk management.
Right click on the partition you want to remove and select delete logical drive.

use this link

There are Two HDD, Disk0 and Disk1

in Disk1 you see the two free space. How come they are not combine??? When i right click on it, it says that do I want to create a logical drive. I don't want to create a logical drive.

Is there a way that i can format my whole HDD so that i can just have one unpartioned drive?
