dvd burner

i installed a dvd burner and nero dvd express. when i try to burn a dvd all i have showing is image drive in the list and nothing else, why isn't my dvd drive showing?

What make and model DVD burner did you install?

Maybe it's not supported by Nero.

I know its a LG burner not sure the rest i gave the computer to my son, but its the same computer and software all i did was formatted the computer and reinstalled the same software

Do you by chance have windows drag and drop burning turned on?
I know that this can interfere with burning on some drives.

My computer > right click on cdrw drive > select properties > recording tab
Make sure that the "enable cd recording on this drive" is unchecked.
