CRC Error

Hello

Im getting a CRC error on my external harddrive. I tried to delete some folders but I get the CRC error. I also noticed that ALOT of my audio tracks have mysteriously disappeared from the harddrive- but strangely my iTunes still plays them.

From what I hear about CRC errors its that my HD is on its last breath. Can someone give me some advice...is there anyway to fix this without losing my files

You could try running a scan disk on the drive.
My Computer > right click the drive select properties > Tools tab error checking section check now button.
Put a check next to automatically fix errors click OK click yes on the next message box and reboot the system.

If this is a usb drive try a different usb cable.

I did an error check and was able to delete the folders and recover my missing files!!
