Video card memory error

hey there, ive got myself a gaming laptop a while back, with a Geforce Go 6150 built in, it has a 256Mb memory on it, but then windows XP went a bit mental and having not made my setup disks yet i was stuck installing RC1 of Vista.
Now, i have my graphics card working with Aero and all of the Vista features, but for some reason, it is reading my 256mb card as a 32Mb Card, meaning its not exactly a gaming laptop now, i was wandering how i can make it read all of the memory or just fix it somehow
