Cant Do Fresh Install On My Acer TM 250

Postby ADB2005 » Mon Jan 29, 2007 8:47 pm

I have an Acer TM 250 Laptop which I have recently Re-formated the harddrive. My Problem is I can't get my XP disk to boot and therefore can't install XP. I have used the setup floppys downloaded from Microsoft and when it asks me to insert Windows XP CD I do the drive spins and then the screen flashes for a split second and I am then asked to Insert the CD again. I can't boot from the CD either as in the BIOS there isn't a plus + sign next to the cd rom. Is this something to do with Acer? Please help me get my Laptop running again!

Many Thanks.

It's either a bad CD, or a bad CD-ROM drive.
