rohaninabout,

Chances are that your product key will not work with the newer media edition version.
And windows activation will not let you activate more than one install per product key.

does anyone know what this is? or how i can get it?

It should take the key if its a Volume License CD. If it isn't, you can build one from the information I posted. I believe that Media Edition is a Home product. The Key is the Windows sticker on the side of the machine with your product key. Without a valid key you will not be able to activate your system.

you can make copies of a xp disc they acually teach you on microsoft but not to make disc they think thats stealing but luckly I do.
first off get winimage it takes files off a disc without and security problems.
then when all loaded on winimage save them as an iso file then extract to folder. now you've got your files in a folder. now figure out how to make a boot disc from nero. don't worry it's easy.
coming up on 14 and I have people wanting me in there school.
