Found new hardware wizard problem

Postby josephali » Wed Sep 05, 2007 5:55 pm

I am trying to connect my iPod and install its drivers so my computer can recognize it. When I run the Hardware wizard, I get the message, 'Access is Denied'. I am an administrator, and there are no security policies enabled, as far as I know.

Thank you in advance

josephali,

Are you by chance running windows Vista?

Go to my computer and double click on your C: drive, now right click on Program Files and select properties, make sure read only is not checked.

You could also try downloading the drivers right from

The folder was Read Only, but that did not fix the problem. No I am not running Vista. I am running Windows XP Pro sp2.

josephali,

Did you try downloading the install package from the Apple link I posted earlier?
