Please download and save it to your desktop.
Now double click CWShredder.exe, Make sure you click the update button first.
Now click the "Fix ->" button, it will take some time to complete the sacn.

Please download AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 from and save that file to your desktop.
This is a 30 day trial of the program

1. Once you have downloaded AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5, locate the icon on the desktop and double-click it to launch the set up program.
2. Once the setup is complete you will need run AVG Anti-Spyware and update the definition files.
3. On the main screen select the icon "Update" then select the "Update now" link.
Next select the "Start Update" button, the update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
4. Once the update has completed select the "Scanner" icon at the top of the screen, then select the "Settings" tab.
5. Once in the Settings screen click on "Recommended actions" and then select "Quarantine".
6. Under "Reports"
* Select "Automatically generate report after every scan"
* Un-Select "Only if threats were found"

Close AVG Anti-Spyware, Do Not run a scan just yet, we will shortly.
Reboot your computer into SafeMode:
Restart Windows after you see the BIOS screen and before Windows starts to load.
Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears.
Use the Arrow key to ensure that the Safe Mode option is selected.
Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.

IMPORTANT: Do not open any other windows or programs while AVG Anti-Spyware is scanning:
1. Lauch AVG Anti-Spyware by double-clicking the icon on your desktop.
2. Select the "Scanner" icon at the top and then the "Scan" tab then click on "Complete System Scan".
3. AVG Anti-Spyware will now begin the scanning process, be patient this may take a little time.
Once the scan is complete do the following:
4. If you have any infections you will prompted, then select "Apply all actions"
5. Next select the "Reports" icon at the top.
6. Select the "Save report as" button in the lower left hand of the screen and save it to a text file on your system (make sure to remember where you saved that file, this is important).
7. Close AVG Anti-Spyware and reboot your system back into Normal Mode and post the results of the AVG Anti-Spyware report scan in your reply.

I still am not seeing anything bad in your log, so let's try a different approach.

Go to Start > Control panel > Administrative tools > Event viewer > look in the system section.

You are looking for any red icons, double click on the icon.
Click inside the 'Description' section then highlight the text and copy and paste it into notepad.
At the bottom of the event window check 'words' and then copy and paste that text also
Then past it all into your reply to this thread.

If you don't show any errors in the event viewer then:
Go to Start > Control Panel > System > Advanced tab > Startup and Recovery section
Settings button > System Failure section > check the box 'Write an event to the system log'

Did what you said got a few errors.but these were before i removed the programme that was giving the errors.

the only other things are something called dcom and a service that confirms windows time.


By the way i plugged the cable into the pc to try the internet again.It still wont aquire an address or get an ip address when i click repair. but the winlogon didnt totally freeze windows.it went up to 98 percent for a couple of secs but went right down to 0 again.hopefully this means the winlogon problem is solved.
So that leaves getting connected to the net itself.

How about posting a couple of the dcom errors from the event viewer.

Some of the new spyware hides itself from Hijackthis so I want you to rename HijackThis.exe to hjt.exe like this:
C:\Documents and Settings\rico\Desktop\hijackthis\hjt.exe
Now generate a new log and post it in your reply.

Also go to Start > Control panel > Internet Options > Connections tab
Click the "Lan settings" button and make sure there is a check next to "Automatically detect setting"

Ok solved that problem for now.Now i cant boot up windows except in safe mode.full mode shows me a black screen with an arrow.

i ran the hijack this in safemode anyway and here is also a warning from the event viewer.

Go to Start > Control panel > in the left panel select "Switch to classic view"
Now click on Network connections, right click on your "Local area connection" and select Properties.
In the new window on the general tab scroll down to Internet Protocol and double click it.

In this window make sure "Obtain an IP address automatically" is checked and that "Obtain DNS server address automatically" is also checked.
Now in the same windows select the Alternate tab make sure "automatic private IP address is selected and OK your way back out.

Back in the control panel select "Internet options" next select the "Connections" tab now click the "LAN Setting" button make sure "Automatically detect setting" is checked.

Plug your modem line into this system and then reboot and check you internet.

those settings were already on as you said.Im afraid the winlogon problem is back freezing the pcany time to enable net connection.
Im currently saying to get a new pc before christmas but want to find out how to fixthis.

Since the winlogon problem is back let's try a different tool.
Please download and save it to your desktop.

Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
When VundoFixopens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.

Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the
Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.

After the reboot(s) post a new Hijackthis log in your reply.
