Well, I pretty much gave up on getting any help with my recent processor upgrade issues. Now I'm just wondering if anyone knows if the Intel Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz. processor is compatible with my Dell Dimension 8200. It originally came with an Intel Pentium 4 2.26 Ghz. processor that seemed very sluggish while gaming. I recently installed a 2.66 Ghz. P4 that works much better, but my system randomly reboots which is quite annoying.
If anybody can advise me I would be very appreciative!

Yess todd, its compatible. If it wasnt compatible it wouldnt boot at all. As far as giving up on getting any help, do understand that we all have real lives to attend to just like everyone else. We volunteer our time and knowledge here to help people to the best of our ability.
