Glad to hear they are going to get it right for you. Its not often you run across a bad asus board but i guess everyone makes mistakes sometimes. Thats going to be a pretty tough rig when its running.

hey jim and venney yea was about 200 with shipping ! bit much wasnt it. I got it all up and running now :D i can play CSS on all high settings and with AA and AF on! and i still get way over 100 fps constantly :D! sometimes over 200-300! and i did 3d mark 06 test my score was just a lil over 10k not bad i guess?? only thing i dont like is XP boots up slow lol which always annoys me and it seems to hang a few secs on shutdown any idea why that would be? i tried boot vis proggy still seems the same :S/worse.

Only thing thought my gcard seems to over heat a lil bit no idea why though cpu temp = 31c and system 38c atm seems quite cool atm so no idea why the gcard/ram overheats?

Also lil jim have you got software from asus called AI Suite ? everytime its running on start up in turbo mode? no idea why? i always put normal settings its weird... any ideas dont wanna overclock it or anything :S :?

Whats your gpu temps?

Check your bios under the AI tweaker settings and make sure its not set to turbo there.

Whats your cpu speed running at?
Thats a different version AI system than my machines run but it shouldnt be overclocking.

Download from nvidia. It can tell you what your gpu is running.

Dont panic, 60 isnt horrible for these newer cards. They produce more heat than the 6 and 7 series cards and should run stable up to 70c or so.

Make another post man, your post count is 666. Spooky.

help. I've used them in the past with success and may use one again when my 8800gt gets here. Put it as close to the video card as you can and it will help pull some heat out.

I noticed the red in the pic but i dont really know why its that way. 2500MHz is the correct stock speed so im not sure why its flagged.

Heres mine at stock speed
Image

Also note the gpu temp, thats on a 7950gt.

Thats one of those things i just dont have an answer for robbro. I couldnt call it a dead drive or it wouldnt be booting and if scandisk passes it i'd just let it go.
