McAfee Update woes...

Postby cc481613 » Sat Jan 26, 2008 8:30 pm

I installed McAfee Security Center the other day, and everything worked fine; it said "installation completed". Everything was perfect the first day, but after that, every time it was trying to update the virus definitions, there is an error, saying "An error occurred while updating the following products. Please reinstall the products: McAfee Security Center". Then, following the instructions, I reinstalled McAfee, and guess what? The same thing happened. Everything was fine for the first day, but the next day, the error comes up again, and a week later, Security Center says: Your system is not protected; Your virus definitions are between 8 to 29 days old. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Thank you so much in advance for your help!

P.S. Please don't advise me to download free AV software...
P.P.S. I apologize for making this post so long and boring.
