Forgotton administrator password :-(

I have an old Toshiba intel celeron laptop running xp that has not been used for some time but my daughter may be able to make some use of it now she's old enough.

Unfortunately I have totally forgotton the Administrator windows password, and although there is the 'Guest' option, I can't do much with that (like alter settings etc). How can I recover/reset/cancel this forgotton password?

I do not have the windows installation disk but I do have the licence key underneath the laptop and don't mind reinstalling windows completely if I have to (if this is at all possible anyway?)

i think you have to boot it into safe mode and access administrator from there, I don’t really remember... someone should say.

A 72hr free service was used. Just had to burn a cd on my main machine then boot the laptop with it, copy a couple of lines of characters into a website and bingo.

It is a bootable cd that reads and cracks all hashed passwords on an XP machine.
