Problem with DVD player not working

Last night my DVD player stoped working. I went to play a game as usual by double clicking on the drive icon and I get the following message: "Only part of a ReadProcessMemory or WriteProcessMemory request was completed. I've never encountered this problem before so I'm not sure how to proceed. Any ideas? Thanks.
