CD-RW

I have an old IBM thinkpad T20, and it all of a sudden stoped reading my blank discs, but it does read any other cd rom. is it the type of cd-r ( memorex) that i'm using? my desktop reads it just fine. i haven't tried using other rype of cd-r's just yet, but will soon. is there anything that might be wrong?

oh yeah, i also tried using my cd-rom drive and it also couldn't read it. when i try using my cd-rw, i get a "E:\ Is not accessible
Incorrect Function

i used my desktope to burn some mp3's into the cd-r that isn't being read by my cd-rw in my laptop. the weird thing is that my laptop read it properly and i could access the mp3's. the problem is that when i insert a blank cd-r, of the same type, i won't read it, and thus it won't let me burn. what's the deal?

Some CD burners will act up with certain brands of CD's. You also need to pay attention to the speed of your CD burner and the speed that the blank CD says you should record at when you make your purchase. When you have problems with some brands, sometimes if you slow down the burn speed this will help but in some cases it is just better to try a different brand.
